A quarter to midnight it's almost time
Soon it will be Christmas 2009.
Checking his list, the Keeper sighs
"Just a quick nap to rest my eyes".
Dreaming of all the good things in life,
He's most grateful for his children and wife.
Although in slumber, his job here's not done,
He will finish his task before morning comes.
Guarding his treasures, he lies here in wait-
Don't forget Santa's cookies on a plate.
The children will gather before the sun peeps,
The joy and laughter his heart will keep.
